About eight years ago I had to have surgery on my knee due to slightly torn cartilage. Ever since then, both knees tend to get a little tender and swollen. Aside from this I was told that I have a low platelette count and at my last physical (approx 2 years ago) they found protein in my urine. Also, from the descriptions I've read, I think I may have Raynaud's symptoms as my hands and feet tend to be ice cold and purpilish in hue. Should I be concerned enough to see a doctor? Or am I just being a hypochondriac?

The symptoms you describe are all relatively common and can have a number of different causes, so I would be disinclined to conclude from this that you have lupus. If the knee pain is causing you problems, it may well be worth seeing a doctor anyway. Many people develop pain like this as they get older, often due to non-aggressive arthritis, and there are various ways to relieve it which some find to be quite effective. And don't worry - seeing your doctor about a genuine problem doesn't make you a hypochondriac.
