My doctor retired. Records were taken by the hospital. I acquired a new doctor three months ago. The hospital still has not forwarded the records. I just found out that the hospital is making copies of my personal records before forwarding. After having cancer and other problems, my new doctor has nothing to go by when checking blood results, etc. Does the hospital have the right, under law, to do this?

My son has ran a fever for 5 days of 103 with a bad caugh. He hasnt had a fever in 2 days and has broke out with the hives all over.
