I was diagnosed with lupus after many miscarriages in 2000..i was overweight by about 80 lbs and i had alot of kidney problems, high blood pressure, etc. My dr's suggested gastric bypass to help some of the "comorbidities" or whatever they called the ailements at that time..after alot of research, i opted for the surgery, even knowing that i wouldnt really be able to take Lupus medication..even in a flare, but was told more than once and by more than one doctor that this surgery will more than likely not only help my kidney problem and hbp, but also remission my Lupus for good..not a guarantee, but very likely..since i had soo many flares, i did it. Lupus was fine for 3 years or so..then i started having short flares..mainly joints, etc. then i had a heart attack. After cardiologist, neurologist, rheumatologists, got together, they have concluded that its the lupus causing coronary artery spasms..which get worse with stress!! (heart attack was may 08) since then..i have had terrible flares, tired constantly, joint aches and pains so bad, coronary artery spasms, kidneys showing protein and are swelling..is there anything that i can take to help, now that i cant take nsaids due to gastric bypass?
You could try Healthy Chocolate. Go to www.MyDrChocolate.com to see some real life testimonies. This chocolate is made to be healthy. I know someone who had lupus for 10 years and is now symptom free. The ONLY thing she changed was she started taking healthy chocolate three times a day.
