I would like to know why a Dermotologist will not treat my psoriasis because I have Lupus; though it is in remission. He says I need to see a Rheumotologist. Also, my family Dr. will not treat my psoriasis and says I need to see a Dermotolgist. So I am in a catch 22 situation with no medical treatment available to me.
I agree with your Dermatologist ... you should be seeing a Rheumotologist. He/she can treat your Lupus and should be able to tend to your psoriasis.
A Rheumotologist is your best bet. A Rheumotologist can take care of both problems. I also have psoriasis along with my lupus. Try some over-the-counter meds but ask your doctor first. A Rheumotologist can deal with most if not all auto-immune deseases.
